Floral in the Forest

When I bought this top, I intended to wear it for spring. And since spring is almost over (boo!), I wanted to make sure I didn't leave it hanging in my closet unworn. That's not to say I can't wear it again during the summer, but there's something about wearing a floral print in the spring that just seems perfect. And so, I went into a nearby "forest" and got in touch with nature in my spring floral top. Oh, and I got a new 'do too. Do you like it? I wore the floral top with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans. Since the style of the top is casual, I decided to keep the overall look casual with just a touch of chic. I went with a necklace that shared the color palette with the top, and wore an ivory bandeau underneath. Light layering is great for springtime! In keeping with the overall color scheme, I topped off the look with a pair of nude sandals.

Coral, Pearls & Fur

Today was cool & brisk. Perfect for a casual t-shirt, jeans and a fun vest. So I put together this look with a coral tee, dark wash jeans, pearls and heels. I wore two pearl necklaces- a shorter one that drew attention to my neck, and a longer double strand  that hung just below the bust.  The ivory of the pearls brought out the ivory in the animal print vest, which was the focus of the outfit. It added texture, but also kept me cozy and warm!   I topped off the outfit with a pair of shiny black peep toe heels. A Touch of Tribal

Last year while on a road trip, I stopped in a souvenir shop in Nebraska. A Native American looking beaded necklace caught my eye, and I've been waiting for the perfect time to wear it.  I decided the time is now. I pulled out a red and white striped tank and paired it with the necklace to create this look that I'm calling "A Touch of Tribal."  I decided that instead of wearing my tank loosely over my jeans, I would tuck it in. This gave it a bodysuit type look, which was fun to wear! Plus- it's a great way to make your legs look longer. And yes, I totally rocked a side ponytail.  I love the contrast of the patriotic look of the tank and the tribal look of the necklace. It was a gorgeous day for a stroll in my "touch of tribal" outfit!
