Colorful, Fun & Playful Layers

We're getting closer to winter, and layering weather is far from over. So on a brisk day recently, I tried layering a few pieces to create a colorful, playful look. I loved the emerald green color of the top and the fun chevron print of the bag. Here's how I put this look together. I paired the green top with a casual denim skirt and black footless tights. Open toed heel sandals were the perfect way to complete the look.  I thought it would be cool to tuck the shirt in for a different look, which made the outfit classy and gave the illusion of a longer body frame. It got beyond brisk at one point, which required me to throw on a light denim jacket. It matched the skirt really well, so the ensemble stayed balanced and put together. The bag had a gold chain strap that could be used, so I mixed things up and wore it on my shoulder. What do you think of this fun, colorful, playful get up?  Recreate this look yourself by shopping these piece...

Winter Blue Suede Shoes

Even though the weather lately has been more like spring than winter, spring is not yet officially upon us. So I wanted to do one final winter outfit post to transition into the spring season. I haven't had the chance to dress up as much or wear heels during my pregnancy, so a girls' night dinner was the perfect chance to do both. I pulled out my blue suede shoes and new denim leggings to create this look.   With my new denim leggings (a steal at just $3.50!), I wore a royal blue tunic sweater. I added a color contrast and some texture with a long ivory topcoat that has floral details. I went for a layered necklace look, combining a royal blue necklace with a gold one. My blue suede shoes (literally) were the perfect choice for footwear. I love a colorful pump!    I was more comfortable sitting down, without the coat, and showing off my winter blue baby bump. But...I am so totally ready for spring to start! Tunic, Motherhood Materni...

Boutique Spotlight: NanaMacs Boutique

As a fashion blogger, I do a lot of "window shopping" every day. I follow many different boutiques and retailers on social media so that I can stay in the loop on awesome new products and deals. One boutique that I follow is NanaMacs Boutique . I stumbled across their website serendipitously one day and see new products all the time that I love. Because I think the boutique is so great, I wanted to share some of my favorite NanaMacs products with you. The My Favorite Aztec Wedges are probably my favorite NanaMacs product. I love the fun aztec print, and the style is fun and funky. These would look cute with black leggings and a colorful tunic.   One piece that looks really comfortable and cute is this Pink Seahorse Lace Ruffle Maxi Dress . The seahorse print is unique and youthful, and the style is perfect for spring or summer. I know winter is almost over, but how amazing is this Aztec Me Anything Poncho ? It also has an aztec design, and its neutral color pal...

Magenta Mama

I'm not usually a fan of winter. I hate the cold, and the winter weather drivers and having to layer my clothes. But this winter, I'm excited that vibrant colors are part of the winter palette. And to celebrate, I chose to sport a bright magenta sweater with some simple gray leggings. As a pregnant fashion blogger, comfort is of utmost importance to me these days. So, do you like my cozy, magenta mama look? I threw a light purple scarf on over my sweater, just to add some warmth and color to the outfit.   I decided to go with some black mid-calf boots, since they are winter appropriate and balance out the brights with a darker neutral. They help the colors to really pop.   I chose silver leaf earrings from Majestical Jewelry to add a hint of fun but still keep the look simple. I decided not to add any more jewelry so the focus could stay on the bright colors. Are you digging the brighter hues for winter?
