Product Review: Pacifica Kale Charcoal Ultimate Detox Mask

In the last post I did about my favorite beauty products, I included the Pacifica Kale Charcoal Ultimate Detox Mask. I love it so much, I wanted to dedicate a post to it.

I initially wanted to try it because I have been making more of an effort to use plant-based products that are better for my sensitive skin. It's 100% vegan and made with charcoal, clay, willowherb, aloe vera and kale extract. Without irritating fragrances or other bad-for-your-skin ingredients, I knew it was worth trying.

Unlike other face masks I have used in the past, I can actually feel this one working. Like, it tingles and I know that some kind of magic is happening. Plus, it also changes colors as it sits, so you know when it's almost time to wash it off because you look less like a ninja turtle and more like some other kind of green mutant.

The only- and I mean only- thing I don't like is that it's messy when you wash it off. The greenish-gray water can splash up into your sink and may leave a mark if not wiped right away. But honestly, if this mask did leave my sink a new reptile-ish hue, I wouldn't care. Because I love the way it makes my skin feel!

And not that this matters at all, but it has an interesting scent that is also quite nice. You can snag this at your local Target or on target.com.
