Bold Hues & Blue Shoes

I just love florals. They are so pretty and feminine. So when I decided to wear this floral tank, I wanted to make it stand out. It's already fabulous with its bold colors, but I wanted to really have fun with my outfit.  I found a lovely place in the shade to take some photos. Thankful that this tank is made from lightweight fabric because this heat is out of control! I paired it with some pastel pink jeans and bright blue pumps (loooove these!).   I also pulled out a super fun, colorful handbag I have with floral details.       It was hot, HOT day, but I loved my bold floral look!  Create this look by shopping these pieces:     Mixed Media Tank Top / Button Front Tank  Denim Casual Pants  / Mih Jeans Faux Suede Pumps / Sheila Point Toe Pumps  Flower Shoulder Bag / Flowers Satchel Bag

Floral in the Forest

When I bought this top, I intended to wear it for spring. And since spring is almost over (boo!), I wanted to make sure I didn't leave it hanging in my closet unworn. That's not to say I can't wear it again during the summer, but there's something about wearing a floral print in the spring that just seems perfect. And so, I went into a nearby "forest" and got in touch with nature in my spring floral top. Oh, and I got a new 'do too. Do you like it? I wore the floral top with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans. Since the style of the top is casual, I decided to keep the overall look casual with just a touch of chic. I went with a necklace that shared the color palette with the top, and wore an ivory bandeau underneath. Light layering is great for springtime! In keeping with the overall color scheme, I topped off the look with a pair of nude sandals.

Coral, Pearls & Fur

Today was cool & brisk. Perfect for a casual t-shirt, jeans and a fun vest. So I put together this look with a coral tee, dark wash jeans, pearls and heels. I wore two pearl necklaces- a shorter one that drew attention to my neck, and a longer double strand  that hung just below the bust.  The ivory of the pearls brought out the ivory in the animal print vest, which was the focus of the outfit. It added texture, but also kept me cozy and warm!   I topped off the outfit with a pair of shiny black peep toe heels. A Touch of Tribal

Last year while on a road trip, I stopped in a souvenir shop in Nebraska. A Native American looking beaded necklace caught my eye, and I've been waiting for the perfect time to wear it.  I decided the time is now. I pulled out a red and white striped tank and paired it with the necklace to create this look that I'm calling "A Touch of Tribal."  I decided that instead of wearing my tank loosely over my jeans, I would tuck it in. This gave it a bodysuit type look, which was fun to wear! Plus- it's a great way to make your legs look longer. And yes, I totally rocked a side ponytail.  I love the contrast of the patriotic look of the tank and the tribal look of the necklace. It was a gorgeous day for a stroll in my "touch of tribal" outfit! Dear Target, You're Losing Me

Dear Target, I was just in your store a few days ago with my 10 month old daughter. And my 3 year old son often accompanies us. In fact, we shop at your store so much, that my son will spot the red bulls-eye from the car and shout, "There's Target!" I'm a RedCard holding, Cartwheel app using Target fanatic who finds any excuse to go there as much as possible. I LOVE Target . Target is my caffeine. It's what gets me through my week and keeps me going. Do you see the Target banner on the side of this blog? I'm part of your affiliate program because I can't get enough of you. However, I'm not sure that will be the case anymore. After learning about your new policy allowing transgendered guests and Target team members to "use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity," I'm not sure I'll be spending as much time there. I understand your beliefs about being all-inclusive and not discriminating, bu...

Girls Night Out Style Essentials

Have a girls night out coming up? Wondering what to wear? Whether you're doing dinner and dancing, going to a concert or bar hopping, these are the essentials you want to make sure you don't leave the house without! Little (color) Dress Contrary to popular belief, the infamous little black dress (LBD) is not always the best choice. It's a myth that black is slimming , and depending on your coloring, black might not be ideal for you to wear. Instead, go with a little (any color that flatters you) dress for girls night out. Choose something simple that can be worn for a casual evening, or dressed up with other pieces. Here are a few great choices to consider:   Classic Bl azer When it gets cold at night, you need something to wear over that dress. Even if you spend the night dancing until you're a hot sweaty mess, you're bound to be cold when you walk to the car or sit in a cold restaurant. A classic blazer is an easy way to add warmth and ...

#OscarsSoStylish Red Carpet Picks

There may have been some controversy surrounding this year's Academy Awards, but Chris Rock did a rockin' job as host, don't you think? He wasn't the only thing that impressed me, though. The red carpet fashion was pretty great. My favorite looks were all about bold colors, form fitting pieces and simple designs. Here are my top 5 picks of the night. Naomi Watts photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images Top honors goes to Naomi Watts, who dazzled in a blue and purple ombre iridescent number. It had shimmer, shine, rich colors and hugged her body perfectly. The coordinating lip color was fabulous! Olivia Munn photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images  The bright orange, the simple one shoulder cut and the sexy silhouette made Olivia radiate on the red carpet. Props on the matching lip, too. Tina Fey photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images Her dress, though simple with subtle details, was a gorgeous purple color and made her look so elegant. The matching neck...

Tri- Print Argyle Girl

Today was a beautiful day! The sun was shining but there was a breeze, so it was the perfect time for  leggings and a light sweater. I chose to mix things up with a tri-print look, combining three different prints from three different pieces. I started with a bright pink & white argyle sweater that I paired with some cozy, stretchy leggings.    I threw on a black & white fedora, which added a second print to the look. I completed the outfit with a pair of zebra print flats with a pop of pink, giving the ensemble its third and final print. Because of the multiple patterns, I chose not to do any jewelry.  I felt a bit like a female golf player, but I still love me some argyle!
