Another awards show, another red carpet. That's the reason to watch awards shows, right? This year I paid extra close attention to what Hollywood's leading ladies were wearing, noting the colors, fit and textures of their dresses. I used the guidelines from my recently launched website, The Style Spectrum, to make (most of) my determinations. These are the 5 looks that got the highest marks from me, and why they caught my eye. Kristin Bell  source: Getty / Frazer Harrison A woman with Kristin's delicate spring coloring should not usually wear black, at least not near her face. However, she looked stunning in her plunging neckline and sequin gown. It was fitted perfectly to her tiny frame, and drew attention to her waist. There may have been some controversy surrounding this year's Academy Awards, but Chris Rock did a rockin' job as host, don't you think? He wasn't the only thing that impressed me, though. The red carpet fashion was pretty great. My favorite looks were all about bold colors, form fitting pieces and simple designs. Here are my top 5 picks of the night. It had shimmer, shine, rich colors and hugged her body perfectly. The coordinating lip color was fabulous! Last night, stars hit the red carpet for the 49th annual CMA Awards . My favorite looks this year are all about bright colors, great cuts and simple details. Here are my picks from the evening. Last night, the red carpet fashion at the 67th Emmy Awards was full of variety. Everything from ballgowns in bright colors to long black dresses were worn. And while there were many hits (and misses), I've narrowed down my list of favorites to these five looks. What do they all have in common? They are simple silhouettes on simply stunning women. Last night was the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards . And like usual, the red carpet was filled with lots of crazy looks and a few classy looks. Here are my fave -and not so fave- looks from the night. Taylor Swift photo, Jason Merritt Taylor Swift seriously never looks bad. Ever . And she can rock a crop top like it's nobody's business. Her glitzy, iridescent two piece outfit looks radiant and sexy on her. She knows how to be classy but still give off a mysterious vixen vibe.  Tori Kelly photo, Jason Merritt I love the combination of textures and styles with this look.
