Check out today's FASHtastic Finds!

I'm totally diggin' these adorable shape hair clips! What a great way to add some fun to your 'do. The Beauty Department has links to purchase, along with some easy ways to style your hair with these clips here.

How fabulous is this sparkle bar soap from mark.? It's scented with mark. Sparkle fragrance, so it's both shimmery and smells good! After washing yourself with the dazzling bar, apply mark. Sparkle Shimmer Lotion for extra soft skin.

For you ladies who love baking, celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg has a super yummy holiday recipe she calls Dutch Baby, which is a type of pancake-esque breakfast food. Try the treat by following the recipe, which she shares on her website.

If you're a big DIY-er and you'd like to learn how to make your own pair of teardrop earrings through the art of metalworking, check out this online class offered by Tiffany Whipps of Tiffany Anne Studios

2015 CMA Awards Red Carpet Picks

Last night, stars hit the red carpet for the 49th annual CMA Awards. My favorite looks this year are all about bright colors, great cuts and simple details. Here are my picks from the evening.

Erika Christensen
photo, John Shearer/WireImage
My favorite look of the night was Erika Christensen. I love the vibrant blue, the ruffles and the one shoulder sexiness. She looks classy and sophisticated, and she doesn't need any fancy bling to complete her look.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie seriously never looks bad. And I love this peach peplum dress with a low cut front. She looks sexy and simply stunning. No need for anything fancy here!

Kellie Pickler

Kellie shines in this radiant purple low cut dress. It fits her silhouette wonderfully, and shows some skin without giving it all away.

Kimberly Schlapman

The way this dress hugs Kimberly is gorgeous. It shows off her feminine figure, and the ruffled sleeves are lots of fun! The bold color is great on her, and the black lining adds some contrast.

Fall Flavored Smoky Eye How-To

Hi fashionistas! I hope your week has been enjoyable so far.

I want to share a fun -and super easy- fall eye makeup look with you. I call this a "fall flavored smoky eye," because the colors are reminiscent of fall.

Below is a step by step photo tutorial from The Beauty Department. They call this look "fall's copper smoke." Visit this link for a more detailed "how to," including products used.

Here is my version, using gold and pinkish red (perfect for fall) colored eye shadow.

What do you think of this makeup look for fall? Would you try it?

"Simply" Stunning Red Carpet Looks From the 2015 Emmy Awards

Last night, the red carpet fashion at the 67th Emmy Awards was full of variety. Everything from ballgowns in bright colors to long black dresses were worn. And while there were many hits (and misses), I've narrowed down my list of favorites to these five looks.

What do they all have in common? They are simple silhouettes on simply stunning women.

Lady Gaga

Who knew that behind all of that crazy makeup, big hair and scandalous clothing, there was a gorgeous lady? In this form fitting find, she does anything but make me wanna "gaga."

Samira Wiley

If "orange is the new black," then "pink is the new sexy." Seriously, Samira looks amazing here! If she should be locked up for anything, it should be for being too stylish.

Penelope Ann Miller

Metallics are hot this fall, and Penny proves that she is golden hot. Love the way this dress fits her curves and also has some fabulous metallic sparkle. She gets a gold star for this one!

Sarah Hyland

I love the deep burgundy color of this dress. And those off the shoulder straps? So sexy. But not sleazy. This rich toned ensemble looks great with her coloring. Simple, yet sophisticated.

Julie Bowen
photo, Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP
She didn't adorn herself with lots of jewelry or wear anything sparkly or eye-catching, but Julie didn't need anything else to shine in this dress. Fabulous strap style and lovely mermaid style bottom.

These five fashionistas prove that you don't need to rock a sparkly, poufy dress to look amazing. Sometimes, even on the red carpet, less is more.

8 Ways to Wear a Plaid Button Down For Fall

I'm a little bummed out that due to my pregnancy, I didn't have the chance to wear any summer dresses this year. But now that fall is about to grace us with its beautiful, colorful landscape, I can start looking forward to (and layering) fall pieces. Pieces like a plaid button down.
Have a plaid button down that you don't know how to wear? Here are 8 ways to rock it this fall.

1. With a Fur Vest
photo, Lookastic
A fur vest is great for layering, and adding texture to your look. It's the perfect piece for any fall ensemble, and it will keep you warm and cozy on those chilly fall nights.

2. With a Pencil Skirt
photo, Southern Curls & Pearls
Add a touch of femininity to your fall look by pairing your plaid button down with a pencil skirt. For an extra fun look, choose a skirt in a contrasting pattern.

3. With a Blazer
photo, Style Pantry
Go for a corporate chic look this fall by throwing a blazer over your plaid shirt. Top of the look with a pair of pumps and coordinating belt.

4. With a Pair of Overalls
photo, Glam Radar
Not a girl with super girlie style? Wear a casual pair of overalls with your plaid shirt. You'll be comfortable and still walk in style.

5. With a Sweater on Top
photo, Gal Meets Glam
Double up by wearing a fun sweater over your plaid button down. Mix up the look by going with a contrasting pattern. I loooove this red plaid and animal print combo!

6. With a Dress on Top
photo, Kendi Everyday
Super sweet and classy looking, get your girlie on with a fabulous fall dress. Tone down the look by wearing your plaid button down underneath. If needed, throw on a pair of tights for extra warmth.

7. With Another Button Down
photo, What I Wore
Fall is all about layering, and a plaid button down over a solid button down will create a really awesome layered look. Add dimension by choosing shirts with different sleeve lengths.

8. With Ripped Jeans
photo, Walk in Wonderland
I love a look that combines pieces in different styles- like a dressy plaid shirt with some grungy ripped jeans. Complete the look with some sexy pumps and edgy accessories.

So how are you planning to wear your plaid button down this fall?

MTV VMAs 2015: Red Carpet Hits & Misses

Last night was the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. And like usual, the red carpet was filled with lots of crazy looks and a few classy looks. Here are my fave -and not so fave- looks from the night.

Taylor Swift
photo, Jason Merritt
Taylor Swift seriously never looks bad. Ever. And she can rock a crop top like it's nobody's business. Her glitzy, iridescent two piece outfit looks radiant and sexy on her. She knows how to be classy but still give off a mysterious vixen vibe.

Tori Kelly
photo, Jason Merritt
I love the combination of textures and styles with this look. The lacy top + the high waisted shorts is sexy and sweet. The ensemble is the "goldilocks" of the red carpet- not too casual, not too fancy, but just right. Props to you, Tori!

Bella Thorne
photo, Getty / Kevin Mazur
This is how you do a look that shows just enough skin to be sexy, but not trashy. I love the cut of the dress, and her updo gives the look a "prom night" feel. But this is like a prom for grown ups. And Bella actually looks better than most of the adults who attended the awards show.

Vanessa Hudgens
photo, Getty/Jason Merritt
Another one of the red carpet's youngest stars, Vanessa showed those older attendees who's boss with this fun Bohemian style look. Her accessories and loose locks keep her looking youthful, but her dress makes her look more mature and classy.

And then there was...

Jeremy Scott
photo, Larry Busacca/Getty Images
Dude...no. I love rainbows as much as the next guy, but...no. And wear a shirt underneath your blazer, and some socks with your loafers! You're a fashion designer? I'm calling Donald Trump because you need to be fired.

 Blac Chyna & Amber Rose
photo, Kevin Mazur/WireImage
If you were looking for attention ladies, you got it. But not in a good way. Thanks for representing everything women have been fighting against in your misogynistic outfits. Color me unimpressed and offended.

Miley Cyrus

I just have one question for you, Miley. Why get dressed at all?

Neutrals + Neon

Hi Fashionistas!

I'm finally back after having my baby, and I'm hoping to start posting again often. To get back into the swing of things, I'm sharing some looks from one of my current favorite color combos:

neutrals + neon

I can't wait to go post-pregnancy shopping and create my own looks using this fabulous combination!

What do you think about these looks?

McKenna Bleu
I'm calling this look "corporate chic." I love it because the sand blazer gives it a corporate feel, but the rest of the pieces make it super fun! Great use of colors and mixing of styles.

A House in The Hills
Dressy bright pink blouse + casual ripped jeans + tall wedge sandals = FASHtastic!

Gal Meets Glam
This look combines different colors and different textures, and you can mix the pieces with other pieces in your closet to create different outfits for transitioning between seasons.

What I Wore
Double dose of black & white plus a pop of neon yellow = a fabulously fun and fashionable look!

How would you rock the neutral + neon look?

Preggers in Pink

With just a few weeks left of my pregnancy, I've been trying to get out as much as possible. This past weekend I was able to get away to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it was the perfect time to wear my super comfortable bright pink maternity maxi dress from Pink Blush Maternity.

I did a layered necklace look in gold, along with some dangling gold earrings.

For makeup, I went with fun gold eyes and bright pink lips.

I chose a tan colored headband to wear in my hair. I wanted the look to be loose and natural.

Dress: Pink Maxi Dress, Pink Blush Maternity
Eye Makeup: PhotoReady Eye Art in Topaz Twinkle, Revlon
Lipstick: Studio Moisturizing Lipstick in Flirty & Fabulous, e.l.f.
