Good for the Gala

Today, celebrities walked the red carpet for the 2014 Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Benefit Gala, a.k.a. the Met Gala. Considering it is one of the most fashion forward events, you would think there would be tons of fashionable ensembles to swoon over. But I was hard pressed to find more than a handful of looks that would top my "best dressed" list. Here are 4 beauties who made the cut.

Taylor has been topping my lists of well dressed celebrities lately, so either her stylist needs a raise, or Taylor has a natural talent for styling. She looks elegant and feminine in this pink Oscar de la Renta gown. She is classy and modest but also sexy because she wears it with confidence.

Emmy Rossum

Not only is this dress seasonally appropriate (bright colors & florals), it is unique without being tacky. Emmy Rossum pulls off this colorful floral look beautifully and she has little to no jewelry on, so all of the attention will go to her gown.

Selena Gomez

I am so happy to see young female celebrities like Selena Gomez wear pieces that are sexy without being so revealing. She looks mature and classy in this wine colored pick, and the simple silhouette outlines her curves nicely. The addition of the dangly earrings works well to add some dimension to this look.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone hit the nail on the head with this look for mainly two reasons. First, she chose a seasonal pink palette, and second, she sported a crop top, which is a big trend right now. The pink hues look amazing on her, and the pleated styling at the top of her skirt adds a nice detail. The high slit is sexy but still leaves some mystery, and her pink lips add a final touch of femininity.
